The County of Medina intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for fiscal year 2020 funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program. CDBG programs can fund a broad range of planning, community improvement, and housing-related activities. These activities must be designed to primarily benefit low-moderate income persons, aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and blight or meet an urgent need within the community. In order to apply, the Oho Development Services Agency requires public meetings to be held.
The first of two public information meetings will be held on Monday, February 24,2020, from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Medina County Career Center, 1101 W. Liberty Street, Medina, OH 44256, CE Hawley Room. This meeting will provide citizens with pertinent information about all these programs, including an explanation of eligible activities, applicable program requirements, and application due dates. Additionally, a similar meeting will be held on February 10, 2020, from 5:30pm-6:30pm, at the Medina County District Library, Community Room A, geared towards Elected Officials, but open to the public.
