Members Present: James Johnson, Charles Copley, Lynn Beaumont, Richard Lapehn and Darrell Carey

Members Absent:  Glen Russell and Mayor William Robertson

Presiding:               Acting Mayor Richard Lapehn

                               

New Business

 

a.         Motion To Go Into Executive Session for the Purpose of a Personnel Matter– 6:05 pm. Carey so moved, all Yeas on roll call and motion carried.

b.         Motion To Come Out of Executive Session – 6:35 p.m. Johnson so moved, all Yeas on roll call and motion carried.

c.         Res. No. 7570 A Resolution of the Council of the City of Rittman, Wayne and Medina Counties, Ohio, Appointing Barbara A. Rissland as Finance Director for the City of Rittman. Three Readings. Res. No. 7570 was read on first reading. Carey moved to suspend the rules and have second and third reading, all Yeas on roll call and motion carried. Res. No. 7570 was read on second and third reading. After some discussion…Beaumont moved to amend, section II to read as follows, “vacation shall be accrued at a rate of 6 hours per pay period, for a maximum of 3.5 weeks per calendar year, and the normal and customary benefits afforded municipal employees,…”, all Yeas on roll call and motion carried. Copley moved to amend section I as follows, “…is appointed Finance Director for the City of Rittman effective Monday, September 21, 2009.”, all Yeas on roll call and motion carried. Copley moved to adopt as amended, all Yeas on roll call and motion carried. Lapehn advised he would confer with Ms. Rissland regarding these amended terms and advise Council.
