The city of Rittman has more than 75 acres of parkland facilities providing a wide variety of recreational uses for residents of all ages. The 9 municipal parks range from small neighborhood facilities to Fritz Memorial park and have available 3 Little League fields, 2 lighted softball fields, a hot stove baseball field, playground, and a sled run

Adult activities include exercise classes, softball, basketball, indoor and soccer.

Rittman is ideally suited for those who enjoy open spaces, lakes, streams, woods, and recreational opportunities of all types. In addition to the City of Rittman facilities, the city is neighbor to more than 40,000 acres of metropolitans, county, state and national park and recreation areas:

Portage Lakes State Park - Portage Lakes State Park is twenty minutes east and has two lakes for boating and swimming as well as acres of land for camping, hiking, and picnicking.
Findlay State Park - Findlay State Park is approximately twenty-five minutes west with a lake for boating, fishing and swimming as well as camping and hiking trails.
Mohican State Park and Lodge - Mohican State Park and Lodge is thirty minutes south and boasts a lodge and cabins for those who do not wish to endure the rigors of camping. Canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, and picnicking are also available.
Greenleaf Park - Greenleaf Park is a 33-acre park located 15 minutes north of Rittman. This park offers a football/soccer field, softball field, sled run, ice skating, fishing, picnic tables, a shelter, nature trails, and a historic log cabin.
Hubbard Valley Park - Hubbard Valley Park, an 89-acre facility located twenty minutes away, includes an 18 acre lake for boating and fishing as well as hiking trails, shelters, and picnic tables.

National Recreation Areas

Cuyahoga Valley National Recreational Area - This expansive national urban recreational area preserves pastural valley along 22 miles of the Cuyahoga River between cities of Akron and Cleveland less than thirty-five minutes from Rittman. The recreation area includes a wide array of outdoor activities from two downhill skiing areas to four golf courses as well as historic villages, archeological sites, and many square miles of forests, streams, and open spaces. The Cuyahoga National Recreation Area provides a rich diversity of cultural and recreational activities for residents of the region and the nation.

  The Professional Football Hall of Fame - 35 minute drive
