The City of Rittman contracted with Most Paving
to repave Sheldon Street. This work has begun and is scheduled to be completed by Friday, October 3rd, weather dependent.
The City, through competitive bidding, awarded a resurfacing contract to Melway Paving to resurface Washington Avenue. This project will commence on Monday, October 6th and should be completed within a two week period, weather dependent.
The city applied for and received a matching grant (80/20 split) by the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) for the Washington Avenue resurfacing project.

The EPA, through the Safe Drinking Water Act, mandates that all community and non-transient non-community water systems create and maintain a service line inventory. This inventory identifies the materials (e.g., lead, copper, galvanized steel) used in the water service lines that deliver water from the public water main to individual buildings. The initial inventory was due October 16, 2024, with ongoing notifications to customers about known or potential lead service lines. Please see below on how to locate and identify your type of line.
